2What documents will I need when I pick up my rental vehicle?
The documents that will be requested are the driver's license, credit card, and passport or ID card. All of the above must show the driver's name. The driver's license of the hired car must have been issued at least one year before the date of hire. Without the above documents, the rental cannot take place.
3Can I rent a car using the license I use in my own country?
The driver must either hold a driving license issued by a European Union country or an International Driving Permit. The International Driving Permit must be accompanied by the driving license of the country of the driver of the car.
4What is the procedure for receipt and delivery of the vehicle?
Vehicle Pick-up:
Upon pick-up of your car, a rental agreement is signed and a check is made by the customer and a representative of our company. Existing damage or damage is agreed upon and noted on the contract before signing.
Vehicle Delivery:
During the delivery (return) of the vehicle, the car is checked by the customer and our company representative. New damages or damages (no matter who caused them) are paid on the spot by the contracted driver of the vehicle. The tenant can pay by cash, credit card, debit, or bank deposit. No amount is deducted from your card for the rental vehicle warranty. Providing a credit card to guarantee rent, even if paying in cash is mandatory for security reasons.
1Do I need to make a deposit to complete my reservation?
In order to complete any reservation, an advance deposit of 30% of the total amount must be made.
2Can I extend the rental during its term?
This is possible by contacting our office immediately and if the vehicle is available for the days you want.
3How can I cancel my reservation?
If you wish to cancel your reservation you can either call us at our office or send us an email. We will let you know if there are any cancellation fees.
4What happens if I return the vehicle with some delay?
In case of delayed return of the car, please call us. The same condition applies to any delay in delivery.
5What will I do if I need road assistance?
In the event of a mechanical breakdown or an accident, you should call us immediately to assist you with the necessary instructions.
6Can I smoke in the car?
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all vehicles of our company. There is a special cleaning charge for the tenant if the returned vehicle requires special care to eliminate any smoke indications.
7Can I take my dog or cat in the car?
Pets are not allowed, except in special cases, only in certain vehicles (such as guide dogs or service dogs) that require our written permission.
8Where can I park?
You can park at Drive + Ride’s private car park. There is public parking throughout the island and it's free.
